Whether it be tumbling through bushes with Skye, talking to Hound with Batty, writing along with Jane, or baking (for a certain someone) with Rosalind, this book is full of heart and bravery and laughter. Adults will relish in happy childhood memories, teens will laugh along and be reminded of what it's like to be a kid again, and kids will wish they were inside the story. This book has a timeless appeal and I honestly recommend it to anyone, regardless of age. I recently picked it up again when I had nothing else to read and fell back into the same great story! All the characters in this book are drawn up to feel so real and relatable and I often find bits of myself in all of the Penderwick sisters (most notably Jane and Skye). I remember loving this light-hearted, true, adventure story. I think I read this book for the first time when I was about 8.
